Hier werden sie dem Morgengebet (<a href="Schacharit" title="Schacharit">Schacharit</a>) vorgeschaltet. Die 13 göttlichen Attribute der Barmherzigkeit (<i>Middot HaRachamim</i> <span style="font-style:normal;font-weight:normal"><a href="Hebr%C3%A4ische_Sprache" title="Hebräische Sprache">hebräisch</a></span> <bdo dir="ltr"><bdi dir="rtl" lang="he-Hebr" class="Hebr hebrew" style="unicode-bidi:isolate;font-style:normal">מִידוֹת הרַחֲמִים</bdi></bdo>) nach <a href="Exodus_(Bibel)" title="Exodus (Bibel)"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">Ex</span></a> 34,6-7  bilden ein zentrales Thema.
